The proposition that a reputable manufacturer is going to sign up for any unproven, untested, undeveloped and seemingly unplanned product is outrageous.

Here's a few articles that scratch on the surface of the liability and insurance issues faced by end users, manufacturers and insurers. The result would not be pretty.
I do not entertain for a split second the idea that any manufacturers are going to sign up to put unproven technologies into their vehicles. I find it absurd that anyone would suggest such a thing.
