Came online to see how things are travelling. A couple of really positive announcements and then I read the half year financials and this thread.
Am I reading correctly that Bombora are planning to take over the site and there is no capacity to connect (note Western Power are doing some preliminary studies)???
If the proposed site is unable to tap into the wind farm, it stands to reason there is going to be a requirement for poles and wires and a substation, all of which further pushes up the capex and makes the project harder to get of the ground. There is no way Synergy (or any retailer) will comit to a project with a PPA unless it stacks up commercially and the requirement for more infrastructure just pushes up the $/kWh.
I understand the resource is marginally better at Albany but it now does raise the question of why CCE didn’t just trial C6 at GI?
Are CCE serious about 20MW and 100MW? Or is Mr Redmond is right?
