Perhaps Mr. Roberts of APPEA could go and talk to his mate Mr. Roberts the NSW Minister in charge at the time which forced the closures of MEL huge gas fields in Northern NSW (to satisfy his National Party mates so that they could preserve their own seats in Parliament and political futures), instead of leading the Town Brass Band March, it might start doing something which we could all be benefiting from.
Amazing what some of these people in Parliament are willing to do, and the extend they are willing to go to, in order to save their ar..es and/or getting thrown out of the speedy train while at the same time ensuring them that they will remain on the gravy train for as long as possible.
Their self egos and greed of power is so big and strong, that it will always take priority over their own constituents which are left suffering, while being forced to pay for their own personal interests, egos, and status. That was a very very poor and unjustified decision that Mr. Roberts has made at the time. And not only did he make that poor decision forcing the closure of those gas fields, but he also sent some of those MEL shareholders to the poor house too, while he continued to keep his nose in the gravy train.
Now consider this, we are not allowed to develop our own resources here in NSW for fear of damaging our own environment, but we are more than happy to get the gas from other states, (and pay more for it), which according to them will be damaging their own environments. Yet, we are all Australians and we all live in the one/same Country. Are we not.?
While we have someone that has practically sold everything he/she could have laid his/hers hands on, and then someone resigning for family reasons, (Or so we have been told. A very good excuse IMHO), while at the same time having a $2mill dollar a year job already lined up, what is there left to say.??
The point is that, even if we (CTP) are successful in producing the gas necessary to keep NSW going, the price will have to remain at a higher price level to satisfy and/or to cover the pipelines costs, so that CTP could make a profit out of it. To me, that is a little like the dog chasing it's tail.
Will then the gas price for the end user including business house and manufacturers come down to an acceptable and sustainable level.?? Well, think again because, if it does, both sides of Governments will loose out from some highly inflated revenues...........
Go Figure!!!!!!!!!!!!!
