As far as business goes and Jason Brewer leaving.... He was getting paid $40k per year from CFE. That is probably equivalent too full time a McDonalds under 21. His role was not big but effective through tweets to let people know things were happening. At that price he probably spents 3 weeks of his full time on CFE. No major loss there.
