All this talk about Ansteel at some point buying out GBG etc...is just nonsense. Pretty sure I read somewhere several years ago during the build phase of the Karara Plant, that the Project would never have got the go-ahead by the Authorities if it wasn't a Joint Venture (with an Australian company).
There's a reason why we have a FIRB authority - to oversee stuff like this. And I'm quietly confident that if the Chinese ever decided to make a play for the rest of Karara shares that GBG owns - that the FIRB will give it a big Thumbs Down.

They allow the Chinese to buy farms, properties, houses etc, but when it comes to National Resources...that's a whole new ball game.
