Don't know what you are driving at here. What is the problem? You obviously have access to the internet & can do a search like the rest of us. You can also go to & read the RTG website which details their achievements & what they have done.
CGA, with Michael Carrick as chairman bought the Masabete Mine in the Phillipines from the owners in 2007 & then merged with (or were taken over by) B2 Gold in 2013. CGA took the brownfield mine that was not operating from a $51m purchase to a $1.1b merge/takeover in 6 years. A brilliant effort. As a shareholder it is what you dream about.
When Panguna comes to pass, with the Central Me'ekamui JV as developers, 50% of that entity that owns & operates Panguna will be owned by locals from Bougainville (although I expect a small part of that will be owned by PNG). That's the SMLOLA landowners, the ABG, the peripheral landowner areas, war widows, survivors, etc., etc. I know you have an agenda regarding Pillip Miriori but put that aside for a moment. That is what will happen. The relative percentages will have to be negotiated but the people will have their shares. Locals will have board representation.
Now when that has happened, & the mine, or stage 1 of it, is built, & someone comes with a huge offer then the shareowners will decide what they want to do individually. That may or may not happen but that is business.
I do not know what the landowners in Masabete had or didn't have, but I do know they are very satisfied with the operating of the mine & how they are treated now & also when CGA were in control. So do President Momis, part of his cabinet & the SMLOLA, all of whom went to Masabete in January 2017 together with Carrick to view the operation & talk to the locals & they were very impressed.
Carrick & his team build environmentally friendly, efficient, state of the art, mines that take into full account landowner concerns & issues. They work with the locals to achieve the best result, a win win for all parties. And when those locals are also shareholders profiting from the mine as well as growth of local jobs, the expansion of local infrastructure & economic growth, then everybody wins.
Once that is done, the mine built & operating smoothly, if Michael Carrick & his team want to move to their next challenge whats the problem?
