The rebalance factor, money123, is a feasible explanation for the share price action. At present (source: shortman.com.au) AAC is the 13th most shorted Australian stock, with short positions of over 9%. The shorters may well be banking on some institutions needing to sell on the basis that their charter won't allow them to hold stocks outside the ASX 200 index.
I might be clutching at straws here, but at some stage the short positions could be covered and we could see a decent bounce.
Anyway, yours truly has accumulated 200,000 at average $1.16, so any short-covering or (dreaming here a little) a takeover at NTA would be very welcome indeed !!
