As a user, I've never been bothered by the seams and glitches. They rarely impact on my sites.
When it does happen, most of the time you can switch to a image from a few months ago for a glitch free image if that is what you need.
The image with the transmission towers looks like one of the "MultiView" images. An oblique image rather than the main "PhotoMaps" product. If you are going to find glitches, this is where they will be.
Are there any other aerial photography providers that supply oblique images at all?
