@speedyl, on the PPP thing the publication that promoted MEI is now defunct (unfortunately), so when "Resource Speculator" was closed by PPP, MEI was an open position - so no problem there.

On the decline in the cobalts, you could also take a look at the lithiums - same story, so I was thinking the instos were trading down Co & Li stocks across the board with a view to accumulating at low prices, as they do, because Co & Li will be such compelling/lucrative stories if they can prove up resources etc.

But then I did some more investigating and found that on the 15th - 16th Jan pretty much the majority of stocks in the materials sector on the ASX across the board began to turn down. So as far as I am concerned those dates represent a pivot point, and now we also have the long awaited correction to further hammer the already well sold off materials sector. DYOR, but the charts tell the story.

So prices have been smashed as much as 30% or so in some of the materials stocks, but the sector had been running hard for a few months, so now we have a double correction - if you like. The bottom line I suppose is how much further value can they shed, Co & Li are both hot sub sectors lately so my hope is that after shedding so much value already that there probably isn't much further to go, even if the DOW continues to correct (which I think it will).

I am holding tight, at a loss also, but feel MEI has great potential, so I will stick around. I'm just thinking what a bargain some things are at the moment.

It's a dilemma, those dogs, so while it is never a good feeling to lose the hard earned, on the other hand letting go of the dogs can be a liberating feeling too. Some things, you've just got to let go sometimes.
