Producing caesium formate from pollucite is a very simple process and has already been done at a laboratory level by the metallurgists behind Lepidico (LPD) who are our partners in Peg 9 and currently drilling it. Industrial processes are competitive and there will be a lot of competition from processors who want to produce and sell caesium formate, including major oil companies who are desperate to line up an alternative and reliable supply of the essential material. The price the willing buyers will be prepared to pay for the only supply of pollucite in the world will be determined largely by the cost of production. Sodium formate sells for about $500 a tonne. Caesium formate sells for about $20,000 a tonne. The production process is similar, the only cost difference is in the cost of the metallic atom, caesium or sodium. A tonne of pollucite makes about a tonne of caesium formate. This is from memory. I don't have the time to look it all up again, but it is not difficult. The only real question is the amount of caesium we can find. I think it is quite a lot but it is early days yet. As well, it looks like the mining process will be paid for by sale of lepidolite, and potassium fertilizer. We await an announcement, but this is about the best gainer I have seen.
