Hi Lockstock79:
1 From the presentation from 22 may 2017, they said:
For R-400S-Mk2 RWS $250k price vs $225 production cost
For EOS R2000 Remote Turret System $1,5m price - $1,35 production cost
So, profit margin 10%, according to the company. Keep in mind, from a competition & tender perspective it’s probably wise to downplay your expected margins…
Then you have the aftersales. From the announcement 30-1-18: “follow-on awards for additional equipment, spare parts, servicing and support are expected”.
Profit margins from aftersales are usually extremely high, recurring and predictable. Car-dealers usually do not make money selling cars. Too much pricing pressure. Margins on aftersales/servicing in the sector are 40-50% though.
I didn’t put a number on aftersales revenue, but did projected overall profit margins to rise to 15%, if aftersales are included.
2 They indeed expect the site to be operational from 2019 onwards. So, revenue won't be seen until mid 2019 at the earliest if not 2020. True. However, contract deals will probably be announced in advance, let’s say end of this year
