Sylvania Production Update

The Directors of Sylvania are pleased to announce that the ramp-up of Platinum Group Metal (“PGM�) production is progressing well at the Millsell and Steelpoort sites. Combined production, which has recently surpassed the 1000 oz per month level, is exceeding management’s internal ramp-up targets. Plant performance is also improving as start-up issues are being systematically resolved.

Commenting on these results, Terry McConnachie (CEO) said “this is a great start to the project and this gives significant support to our target to exceed our base case forecast after all four of our new processing complexes are completed in Q4 calendar 2008. This is testament to the management, operating and engineering teams whose efforts in meeting the various challenges to date have been outstanding and I commend them for their efforts and achievements.�
