Yes, Indonesia is not in the list, but the only country in the list that produces manganese alloys is South Africa, and as I stated in the post that was deleted. Thats another reason  why TMI is building 30 bulk carriers. Power is just too expensive. The power in Indonesia is US$0.11c/KWh against China US$0.06c/KWh and Sarawak US$0.03c/KWh.   GMC will just go broke like South Africa, and if you read your table you'll note that Indonesia maybe not on the list but the price is more than South Africa.  Indonesia US$0.11c/KWH and South Africa by your table is  US$0.086c/KWh. The table is actually out ofdate as SA has higher power costs with the latest increase.

I will not deny theres a huge market for manganese alloys, its just that GMC has just picked the wrong place in the world to built the smelter.
It really goes to show the ineptitude of GMC Directors/management, their foolishness and lack of business skills will  eventually lead to failure.
Why does everybody think that having some manganese ore at the back door will make GMC a competitive manganese alloy producer?
These days you can ship Mn ore from South Africa by millions of tonnes, Tshipi in South Africa is now aiming at 3.3 million tonnes annually.   Look at Tianyuan Manganese Industry Co., Ltd.(TMI) in Ningxia Hui, they're building 30 bulk carriers to transport manganese ore from their mines in Australia ( ex ConsMin Woody Woody mine) and Ghana (Nsuta mine) to their huge manganese alloy plants in China.
How many tonnes of Mn ore will  TMI transport to China with 30 bulk carriers?
6 million tonnes in 2018 and 9 million tonnes in 2019

    Why?
Why don't they produce ferro manganese in these places where the Mn ore is mined?
The answer is the cost of electricity/ power is too expensive.
Has anybody on the GMC thread bothered to look at why S32 smelters in South Africa are having problems and most furnaces are shut down?
    Why?
The price of electricty/power is too expensive. The cost of electricity in South Africa is somewhat similar to what GMC will pay in Indonesia, and if S32 can't make money from smelting manganese ore in South Africa with one of the largest mines in the world at their doorstep, then its about time you ask yourself how in hell will GMC be competitive in Indonesia when the price of power is 4 x times more expensive than China or Sarawak?
