Nope you don't need a trading halt to announce future or commencement of drilling, this trading halt is referring to results:

In accordance with Listing Rule 17.1, the Company advises that:
● it is seeking a trading halt pending the release of a material announcement in relation to exploration results by the Company;

So the results can be visual estimation or preliminary XRF or actually assay values but they will be results of current or recently completed exploration. They don't have to be drill results either - they can be potentially surface geochemical sampling or drilling results.
