All of this talk about "maybe news from NZ drilling caused the spike" is troubling for several reasons:

1) You are suggesting that material, insider information has leaked;

2) You are suggesting that trading has been conducted by an information insider;

3) It is a criminal offence to trade while in receipt of material, insider information not publicly available to the market; and,

4) Therefore, even the premise that it would be a "good thing" if the spike was caused by drilling results is completely flawed. It would be a terrible thing and a sign that there are untrustworthy and unlawful things occurring within the company.

Let's hope it was just a foolhardy trader without the awareness to carry out analysis before jumping on in.
