I found this bit incredibly interesting – and I think this point will start to garner a lot of attention.
Rob Phillips ** " In fact, we’ve got two of the major global technology software companies have bought products from us to explore in their digital healthcare platforms. That’s incredibly exciting for us because while currently they’re only pilot projects these software companies have big plans to move digital health into every home and they will need digital front end sensors which is our speciality."
I wasn’t aware we were in discussions with global technology software companies ! Digital ehealth is a huge growth market across Asia and in the US at the moment. Sounds like a very wise strategic shift from Uscom and the products are perfectly suited for at home use, cloud based services, wireless monitoring.
I have been following Chinas growing interest in digital health since last years Tencent investment [see below]. There is one thing being a cloud based service provider but you still need a physical device to accurately take an assessment. I can envisage the BP+ and Spiro as perfectly suited as the device that generates the readings that get sent to the cloud/wireless network.
As Rob identifies "Regional providers will buy devices and give them to people to who have diseases and then monitor their condition via the internet. No one is sure of the financial model yet, but it is an emerging health trend that we are leaders of."
Uscom should be able to leverage into the wave of investment with the help of Mr Meng, fingers crossed. I think this will be massive if we can stay ahead of the market regarding device distribution.
