Driving Miss daisy.............

Our favourite biotech stock continues to languish despite the excitement created by the company's presence at the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference. Yes, I AM being sarcastic!

The lack of any discernible buying interest flowing from that conference is a damning indictment and shows that everyone has head the story too many times - or they are cunningly waiting for some Insto to capitulate, so they can buy cheaper.

Despite the above, the amount of stock on the sell side is pretty damn thin.

It is so thin in fact, that a half-hearted effort by a hedge fund or gung-ho retail player could easily punch the stock through its technical downtrend.........

It seems to be a waiting game and the punters already set have no more funds to deploy and new interest in the clinical trial results for PTSD are needed.

Judging by what happend over the last 18 months in Opthea, the punters actually accumulated the stock from 12 months or more before their clinical trial results were due.

The share price had a vry steady but quite steep run up to the release and has subsequently had a pretty healthy pull-back subsequently.

BIONOMICS HAS NOT YET STARTED ITS RUN IN THE LEAD-UP TO THE RELEASE OF THE PTSD RESULTS.

If by some miracle Merck commences a Phase II trial on its BNO-sourced Alzheimers drug candidate, then all healthcare analysts will write pages of glowing accolades.

Alternatively, the miracle of a commercial transaction on the oncology assets could trigger a market rush to get on board - PROVIDED that the company gets a serious cash cheque and not just a hessian sack full of "Bio-Bucks".

Then there is the possibility that someone decides to make a full bid for the company........

The possibilities are not endless, but there appear to be a number of potential catalysts to get the speculators salivating very soon.

I am still holding my nerve but watching the clock closely.......

It is very nearly time for BNO to start its 2018 run.......

All aboard you cynics and skeptics - there ain't that much stock left for you to buy!
