"Another is recently listed digital audio technology company Audinate, which was spun out of CSIRO's digital innovation group Data61 and listed last year. Audinate's software helps large customers – such as Sydney Trains, for example – run digital audio networks.
Xie is tipping Audinate to make waves globally.
"In this industry, once you have a winner, it is winner takes all," he says.
"I think Audinate has the same dominant market position as Carsales and REA in their respective markets. And the most important thing, the founder is still in the business and management is really incentivised with their own wealth invested in making this work."
