Good to see profits for the first 4 months matching last years entire profit! :) ... Nothing on the status of approval limits being lifted at Unanderra though. Hopefully we'll hear more after the AGM.

Hydromet "encouraged" by H108 results to date

Sydney, Nov 21, 2007 (RWE via COMTEX) -- HYRCY | charts | news | PowerRating -- (RWE Aust Business News) Hydromet Corp (ASX:HMC) has had a strong operating performance for the four months to October 2007.

Sales of $13 million where achieved with a pre-tax profit of $2.2m.

This is ahead of the company's forecasts and has been achieved by the continuing contribution of the battery recycling project in Unanderra and selenium production at Tomago.

The company said it was confident of an "encouraging" result for the first half of FY08.

It said the party which held the option to acquire Hydromet's Stanton cobalt prospect has decided not to exercise the option.

Hydromet is considering developing the prospect in its own right or partnering with an experienced mining company.
