Like mining services companies you have to get the contracts to make money and grow. Those that don't become history.
The Wave Energy business seems to still be work in progress after 11 years-- although we have been fed a different story along the way, the Solar business is a huge growing market and all EMC is getting is the crumbs. The EMC acquisition appears to be a dud investment !
MO clearly stated at the AGM that CCE is looking to serve the "niche" market of projects of under $10 mil- - the question is why ? when they have joint venture arrangements with Lend Lease to provide the manpower for all project sizes. They do not seem to be getting any contracts even in their so called "niche" section of the Solar & Wave Energy markets.
IMHO The Company will be coming out with cap in hand or rattling the tin within the next several months and the concern is that sooner or later SH will not put their hands in their pockets --- THEN WHAT ??
They should tender for all works available , roll up the sleeves and be competitive !! or diversify the business into the mining services and infrastructure business.
