Incidentally, this is another illustration of why it's so important for each of us to take ownership of our investment decisions (if we choose to be active investors). Investor A above, may have made a good decision within the context of his/her process. A process that has all sorts of implications in terms of portfolio allocation, and also how marginal information and/or share price movements, influence further decision-making (hold, sell, add, scratch-head, panic, cry, head-for-the-hills).

Ultimately decision occur withing the context of a process.

If someone chooses to buy, because Investor A thought it was a good idea, they are piggy-backing maybe 10% of someone else's process, and leaving the rest to chance.
