It's hard to argue with the idea that political/economic structures are not self justfying but need to prove their usefulness.
I am speaking in generalities but companies with stable earnings over the long term are unlikely to be frauds. Going back to Bill Black's point there was explosive growth in Whiplash claims.
There shouldn't be explosive growth in a mature industry.
An long investor needn't prove fraud just stay the hell away.
A short seller proves fraud in practice.
Finally the sleepy regulators and lawyers prove fraud in the courts, paid to ducking argue by the hour.
They have no initiative, fairly pitiful in my way of thinking. Who gives a stuff what they think as they are completely irrelevant?
