    this is my understanding too...

    one question for bitcoin is how can this problem of higher fees and longer transaction times be solved? one solution being flagged is the lightning network, however there seem to be mixed ideas about the timeline and prospects for it's implementation. if it does prove to be viable btc will prob see a rise in value.

    in the meantime there are faster, cheaper coins with more upside...
