and you keep harping on about "where will GMC get the money" have you ever heard of forward selling a product? maybe that's why the DSO is taking longer, the terms of the agreement & price? have a look at CKA they are in exactly in the same position and look at how they are now going to fund their mining op. GMC can easily do the same.
