Diversification, or diworstification as Warren Buffett calls it, spreads risk or averages it over all activities. Bad diversification is still bad. I view it negatively that growth cannot come from PI any more so Shine is rolling the dice in other areas. Will they break out segmented figures each year?

I am puzzled how they plan to consistently make money. Do they have a back office in India or the Philippines doing the grunt legal work which they bill out at Aussie rates? Do judges award overseas costs at Aussie rates? Does Shine have legions of back office lawyers on 457 visas? Will clients be aware that costs are marked up? Is Shine required to say so? Can in-house lawyers cost, say, $70 per hour and be billed out at $350? It would be an interesting class action to recover misrepresented costs.

If any of the last paragraph is true then why couldn’t the competition do the same?

A cynic I may be but I don’t trust lawyers. Who does?
