Fortunately it didn't get smashed quite that much today.

So now we know why the sudden drop from 2 weeks ago. Presumably today's news (ASB not getting the 2nd LCS contract due to issues with fixed-pricing) was leaked at that point in time, a rumour that probably would have circulated amongst the brokers, unfortunately not passed on to regular punters.

It was a terrible day for such an announcement, with the ASX down over 2% after a shocker overnight in the US / Dow Jones.

Let's hope today's price is as far as it drops (or at least not too much further), and that other non-war related orders come through as well as future US-Navy work.
