Interesting to note large holders will be subject to the 45 day holding rule if they want to be eligible for their franking credits so wont be selling for a while yet even if they want to.
The holding period rule requires you to continuously hold shares 'at risk' for at least 45 days (90 days for certain preference shares) to be eligible for the franking tax offset. ... The shares become ex-dividend on the day after the last day on which acquisition of the shares will entitle you to receive the dividend.Oct 28, 2016
