Some quick facts

I asked someone with better knowledge than me their take on things:-

“The only LO Association within the old BCL - EL boundary is the SMLOLA.

It is also important to differentiate between Centrals initial/brand new EL Application and BCL's attempted Renewal Application- they are fundamentally different.

BCL had a 2 year EL (which expired 7 September 2016). They had to get LO consent and access - from the SMLOLA, in that 2 year period, but they failed.

Because they knew they were going to run into problems with the SMLOLA, they involved all 9 old Rio project LO Associations, relying on Lawrence, to claim incorrectly, we say that they had 'unanimous consent'.

Now I think they say well we have 8 out of 9, but the critical point is the only relevant one for the EL is the SMLOLA (and Lawrence is not Chairman).

The other 8 LO Associations are legally only relevant once you do a BFS and identify if any of their land is needed. Before you get the Mining License you will need those impacted LO Associations.

On a fresh grant of an EL, you get the EL granted and then you go and get an access agreement from the LO Association.”

So the process is:-

- BCL EL gets rejected

- Central/RTG get issued new EL. They only need SMLOLA approval - they commence exploration work and drilling etc

- consduct BFS

- Then round up 8 LO’s post BFS for development deal

This scaremongering that RTG doesn’t have the other 8 LO’s support is lies and also irrelevant ! They won’t need another LO’s approval other than the SMLOLA for the next 2 or so years

Let the other 8 LO’s see them drill, community engagement and other things over the next year or 2 and see how quickly they forget BCL
