IMO, you are correct in many may be confused by the use of term 5G particular as it relates to mobile networks. 5GN is no Telstra and Telstra aint AT&T or Verizon who have rolled out 4G LTE networks and are also in the nascent rollouts of 5G, which is still is "product development" stages - Ericsson and Nokia have developed platforms for Carriers (I think Telstra is partnering with Ericsson for a test) and Samsung has developed a home based router with 5G capability.

5G is necessary for the whole IoT paradigm because of the sheer number of connected devices (think all those cars and wearables) - speed, density, connections.

Still, 5GN has an interesting solution to target mid-market and cloud infrastructure. Always room for these companies as carriers and large ICT players don't address the midmarket all that well (IMO) but then others like TPG do.  Likewise for AWS ... lots of companies eat at that table to.

This one is a punt. They can't even forecast their revenues. The other is this (networks) is a capital intensive business.

We'll see if the price is right.
