The Directors of Mount Magnet South NL (ASX: MUM) are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr John Vinar to the key management role Exploration Manager. John’s extensive career as a geologist spans more than 20 years in project generation and resource development in gold and base metal systems, and includes roles at the world class operations at Broken Hill, Kalgoorlie’s Golden Mile and Leinster Nickel. John played a major part in the discovery of the 2,000,000 ounce Ghost Crab deposit for Newcrest Mining in Kalgoorlie, and was also instrumental in the start up of new underground operations at Bullant and Wendy Gully for Aurion Gold. Managing Director Andrew Paterson said “This is a key appointment for Mount Magnet South. Having an experienced geologist on board to focus on the exploration campaign will enable us to keep developing our primary targets. Coupled with the Company’s board and management structure, MUM’s enhanced technical expertise will keep powering the momentum that has been building, as we strive to add value through exploration”.
