Being a 'bit philosophical' ----
If I put this proposal to you --------------

"I have 'a plan (or thoughtbubble)' for some sort of business.
Maybe its a bit better developed and an operating business.
How about you give me a 'wad of money' to put into this business. I will run it, decide how much to (generously) pay myself in salary,fees, perks etc. If at the end of the year, there happens to be a profit, I will give myself generous bonus & decide what if any dividend to pay to you as an investor..... If times are tough, then I need a bigger salary to compenste me for all the hard work and stress....."

Your almost certain (and 100% reasonable) response ....
"What do you take me for .... an idiot who came from another planet... Go to ..........."


Now how does this differ much from being a shareholder ..... are we stupid idiots?

I include MYSELF in this .... as holding in total a significant investment in a number ASX companies of varying sizes.
I grumble, but continue to be shareholder ...... maybe 'more foolme',
but whats the alternative ... 'gold bars buried in the bottom paddock'
