Fair to say the market at this stage is disappointed in what has come out during the AGM.

If 14.5 cents remains today’s low that represents a 41% decline from the 24.5c high posted just two months ago.

Precious little in any of the AGM stuff to help explain this rout, though the selldown of part of Domenic Carosa’s stake was touched on.

No serious quibbles with the material about Q & A or subscriptions. These are driving momentum for now.

But what about the digital influencer punt, which appears to be a major cost center now, though I can’t recall if there are revenues to match.

It seems like it’s pandering to the fickle consumer and so will inevitably be a bumpy ride. The demand for vaginal steam cleaners have undoubtedly received a huge boost from Gwenyth Paltrow’s recommendation of its health benefits, roundly refuted by the way by many others who had a clue as being utterly ridiculous.

But How would you be feeling if you had developed a comprehensive digital influencer package around a personality like say, for instance, Don Burke. There mightn’t be anything of value at allleft in such a package.

Do I care about Justin Beiber’s shampoo? Or about the flash of recommendations of any fleeting star or starlet shooting across the media sky, quickly to disappear in line with any reasonable analysis of their destiny?

Did i but see it passing by? It’s gone now anyway. Fickle is as fickle does.

Much was made over the past year of CM8’s link with Viacom, but the tremendous excitement of this doesn’t seem to have been reflected anywhere in the AGM material. A dud?

Seems like there’s a lot to be said for sticking to the knitting, the core money makers, and getting them humming.
