Incorrect, and indeed naive.

Defamation action can be taken regardless of its merits, then I bare the cost of defence.

Win or lose...it costs money, and the lawyer's kids get another year of private education.

And as for his above reply to my comment re defamation and truth, its is the completely opposite to what it IS.

" If the statement is not protected as an opinion, you may still be protected under the truth defense. A person who wishes to successfully sue you for libel must generally prove the statement is false. In most states, truth is a complete defense to a libelaction.
