What gives you the idea locals are against it? Gold mining is not exactly too disruptive ecologically, is it? And Haiti, being one of the poorest countries in the world, would embrace any form of outside investment like this. The Haitian govt needs the royalties , and the locals need the jobs. Its a lay down mizairre for DDD.
