Coppers,
I have it on good authority the Aust Fed Govt is closely examining the MiFID II legislation and the potential for similar laws to be considered in Oz. Turnbull, Morrison et al don't want to go down the path of a banking royal commission (for many reasons but mainly cost and time) but a bill to assuage Labor and other parties could be tabled in the lower house (probably by ScoMo or O'Dwyer) along these lines:
"To implement systems to support automated call recording, storage and retrieval of interactions between financial advisers and their clients including mobile, landline, SMS, email and face-to-face."
As we all know, Dubber has built the platform to deliver all the above quickly and cost effectively. This will be a game changer for DUB if it gets up. And Labor could hardly object as the whole premise is about improving the behaviour of the big banks who control the majority of the financial advice market here. If it comes to pass, DUB SP could be back in the high 70s or 80s in the blink of an eye.
