Ozmacca. Not wanting to play funny buggers but I'll leave an answer to your very interesting question to someone with a better knowledge of the area. But, ironically, it still could be "water" and lots of it, that could be our biggest enemy for the next 5 or 6 months, the far north Queensland summer wet season from October to March.
I hope someone can give you a proper answer to what is certainly a key concern.
