These are all bargain hunters and the poor demographic who shop in these places. Their is a place for them but they will never be the majority like Coles and Woolies. Australia is on average a very rich country per person, it's why I don't see these discount European retailers thriving. They just feel 'low quality' and 'cheap' the moment you walk in. Forget fruit and meat. It's like dan Murphy's (best shop ever) vs first choice, first choice just feels like the poor cousin.
Each to their own, but my entire network wouldn't be caught dead shopping in these discount euro retailers.
