They say they have learned but at our and their expense - they are shareholders as well. They have tightened their processes for investments and related factors. But the discount in the share price was emerging some time ago. It is going to take quite an effort (maybe two or three realisations) for the broader investor community (including Mums and Dads) to regain confidence that these guys know their business. In the meantime there continues to be a flow of smaller shareholder realisations, at 15- 20% loss.
And their job has just become more difficult with the ASX heading north and with many of the ASX smaller tech and similar stocks doing quite nicely. And without expensive management structure and fees.
I have put myself SMSF) into BTI as well as my son. How do I tell him I have lost in his case about 22% of his cash.
I have a dilema - do I sell and invest elsewhere or do I hold out in the HOPE that things will get much much better.
Also, they cannot have another Pro event otherwise their credibility is gone forever and they might as well wind the show up.
