the resignation of Mr Chi Zhang is an interesting one as i assumed he was on the board for his contacts in china. the notification of his resignation was very short also with not even a thank you so i would assume he compromised his position and was axed. i have noticed the mou with shandong gold company was expected in august but hasn't happened yet. maybe chi shagged sgc's chairmans wife on a tailings dam or somethin.

i doubt there would be a problem placing 100 mill at 16c. there is a real chance the share price will be multiples of 16c in 12 months if all goes to plan and i wouldn't mind a few of them myself.

we should be getting news related to las lagunas within a week or so which may attract some interest. namely the financing, placement (100 mill @ 16c), start of construction (october) and the tsx listing.

dominican republic and peru will keep em pretty busy.

just a left field thought, evg only have exclusive rights in china to the albidon process until 2009 from memory. perhaps chi has rolled evg by warding off prospective partners until he can get his mits on a licence and was shown the door.
