Firstly - get your vote in.
I will never do anything on behalf of others and have never used the "HC rep card" I see on other threads so seriously make the call yourself even if it is only to investor relations and ask for a call back from chairman or Bert and let them know and see what explanation is provided and follow it with a email. It doesn't matter if you have a million or 10k your percentage loss is the same. You don't have to have great knowledge of the business to ask the question of why they are getting performance bonuses when the business and share price hasn't performed. The one off excuses are partially valid but IMO they haven't gained core momentum in the marketplace. Executives remote from main office with other private businesses but still getting IMO full time pay has concerned me as well.
I have communicated with YOW old management and new several times and as you have seen from the gist of my posts the answers and IMO progress and reasons for lack of hasn't been satisfactory. Frankly better info comes from other arts of industry as it doesn't have spin attached. As you see from the posts here on HC for years by people sprouting optimistic brokers opinion , believing company's numbers and execution or just emotional self assurance etc the timeframe and volume of sales hasn't got anywhere near fixed costs they keep adding to the business.
I can't resolve if it is management restricting engagement and promotion at all levels or if we have the wrong people executing it or simply too heavy on the big $ staff and not enough lower pay scale folk to execute it. It is hardly a question they will directly answer but having now tried a couple of execution models if they don't get momentum the brand is trashed / stale by time delay and all the good bits they have achieved stand isolated and can't be leveraged off.
They have now bent over backwards with Walmart and Walmart have played their usual game in getting a cheaper exclusive generic on shelves so the core Yowies better keep sell through rates as walmart are known to be cutthroat . I can tell you walmart have done their research and know dinosaurs are a seller and will be onto the next trend as they have so much data.
I understand in Australasia kinder are upping advertising spend and doing media and have achieved positioning so YOW guys better be on their game and use the enviro message, collecting, apps, website engagement and social media to their advantage as it is their point of difference.
It has been terrible to watch the IMO the massive missed opportunity and these guys have to put the hard yards in now to get YOW back to where it should have been 12 months or longer ago. They may sprout some good news between now and the AGM but be very wary of a poor settlement , initial stocking order news etc as the core if how many Yowies manufactured and ordered for the whole upcoming holiday period at Christmas as the numbers for haloween orders historically have been poor due to so much bulk cheap candy available. But they haven't IMO engaged or targeted the more well off and grandparent market who want better quality for kids and also appreciate enviro , kosher etc etc. So many avenues and they have allowed it to come to a point where holders / broker have requested a buyback? Another distraction we don't need.
How are the books going, how is the new apps going, how is the scripts going, how is enviro partnership going. If management are serious they need to media and industry and leverage off their spend and do more to highlight industry awards ( as lame as they can be) with press releases and photo opps. Did YOW reps just turn up for free dinner? Where are the photos of Bert in front of the bus donating chocolates to disadvantaged etc etc . Did they ever follow up a gaming legend with 100 k followers , TV spots and a supporter who couldn't find the product and was worried about taste. Who didn't do their bloody job ??? follow it up even now as it is a free kick to access different very sticky market sector.
Where is the Canadian pre introduction publicity, couple of stories on kinders not allowed over border , in border shops , social media presence , samples to influencers . They should have all this down pat by now and execute it seamlessly.
They are on target for a 2nd strike IMO regardless of the "influencing" they are trying
