The last week the wildlife here has been coming up on to the veranda at night to shelter from the rain. Sometimes they keep me awake when they fight and carry on. Last night I think it was a big fruit bat and a possum going at it. I could hear big wings beating and something running up the veranda. Either that or I have a Vampire coven living here somewhere. Disturbing, wing beats and footsteps late at night on the veranda.
My Fig tree is about to start ripening so they are coming in to check it. Do vampires eat Figs I wonder.
Im taking some garlic to bed from now on.
