b) Every parent, carer and clinician who sees no improvement knows almost for certain that they are on the inactive arm.

The blinding is gone. Simple as that... no conspiracy required. Without the blinding every measurement and observation taken will be influenced by knowledge of what treatment is being administered.

Look you can't rip into poor little Johnny, 45mins a day for 9 weeks and no results I'd be done with it too. Jeez johnny got it hard without this forum lambasting him for not finishing the trial.
