@aabbaadd Mate I've worked in CSG for the last 12.5 years. If CTP are like every other gas/oil company Ive worked for int that time which include QGC, Santos, Origin and most recently Senex every vehicle that comes onto any site for a prolonged period weather it be company owned or by a contractor must meet strict standards which are commonly referred to as mine spec.
The last fleet of of new vehicles which were purchased by Origin for company use were Landcruiser utes which has a showroom price of roughly $65k. By the time these utes are "mine spec" and delivered they are $120k, and thats just a ute.
These vehicles are fitted with (post purchase)
Diff locks front and rear
Bull bar, side rails, steps
Haymen reese tow hitch assemblies
Winch
Wide rims and tires
Long range fuels tanks or external fuel cell
ROPS
IVMS
Tinting
Snorkel
and thats all before you add in the smaller stuff like towing recovery gear, seat covers and safety/survival kits.
If anyone thinks they're going to buy a vehicle straight off the showroom floor and go and drive around in the desert in ridiculously harsh/remote conditions they are kidding themselves.
If CTP have picked up some wagons for $100k even half ready for their environment they've done bloody well.
