I'm beginning to realise how difficult it is to get a good pic of my pigeons!
Morning sun, the distance between them and me, using an iPhone and worrying about the Heeler pup under my feet.
I took about 20 shots and these 2 were the only worthwhile ones, this one almost got binned but I liked the the way it captured the wing movement.
It's also one of my favourite young birds, born in late July.
It has already started to roll and will be a guaranteed breeder next winter if it can dodge the hawks and falcons over the next 8 months.
Once the wife, kids, dogs and cats go back to Perth after school holidays I'll try and get a few pics of the honey eaters and such that will come back.
