That's what I've been saying all along: the mineralisation is co-eval with the gabbro which means it's distribution is fairly homogenous, without structural controls such as shear zones. That's why the bulk sampling method they used is appropriate (I hope you're reading this ASX ).
The second finer-grained, darker, magnetite-rich gabbro is interesting. It implies that there are multiple intrusive phases, a lot like more typical porphyry intrusions. Is higher magnetite content associated with even higher precious metal content?!!
I think Hercules' appointment (what a name!) might have something to do with the ionic nature of the mineralisation. A traditional chemist or metallurgist might not have much to offer here, but his experience at the atomic level might be what they want.
