Yes that was quite interesting, though the reality of having to make increasingly large returns over time will inevitably come home to roost. I thought that there were a few fundamental points that confused me. I've no problems pushing accountability back to line managers but not having centralized HR and finance seems like a recipe for increased overhead costs. I've never heard of using that strategy as a way of reducing costs. Also very interesting questions of debt facilities, if you are in acquisition mode and the debt structures are very well priced why wouldn't you offer a more aggressive expansion role?
