I'd like to think CCL is a value play however I think there is far too much risk here. Way too much fear in the market by all the doco's exposing health side affects of sugar, I know first hand all parents are steering their kids far away from the stuff. I can also see heads winds in the next 12-18 months with packaging cost increasing.
Another risk which I don't think anyone is too aware of is a major revolt/boycott against supporting corporations. I can see society making a move to minimalism as a direct result of corporate greed, what moron is happy to support businesses like these which pay their staff pennies and offer insulting pay rises while the top dogs are happy to take multiple millions and gigantic bonuses?
I've completely eliminated the need for spending at commercial outlets, I now buy all my food fresh and direct from wholesalers (the food is 100 times better in quality, although it is more expensive) and as a result I'm eating healthy delicious meals everyday. I hope more people can make the switch to becoming a minimalist as it's so much better for your health and the environment, it's a tough ask because skilful business has brainwashed society into living like grubs.
I think society needs to stop complaining and start acting, I hear people crying about the cost of coke, wine and beer - simple don't drink. I hear people complain about the cost of petrol, insurance, rego, service/maintenance - don't own a car. You will be surprised with what you really need to get by. I'm still astounded how stupid our society is, I live in a street of about 50 houses, everyone has a small lawn right but yet we all individually own an edger, a lawn mower, a blower? Why do we do this? It's not like I cut my grass 24/7. Surely we can't be more interactive with our neighbours and integrate community based setups?
