Etheruem is another strong contender with a huge future because of its blockchain technology. Expect to see companies like apple and microsoft utilise their technology to create their own currencies within. Its basically the future and bitcoin is the now.
Another called Litecoin is progressing well, but I don't venture into it at the moment because of an upcoming release of more.
Monero is also a big one amongst the people wanting hidden/untraceable transactions, people who use the dark web use this, so it has a place but its future is uncertain unless it can provide an offering for mainstream exchanges as well.
The rest I haven't ventured further into, I think there's around 834 currently active on the market and a lot of scams, best bet is to stick with the trusted and don't gamble.
