Aug 16 (Reuters) - New Zealand's Fletcher Building Ltd (FBU) said on Wednesday its full-year net earnings fell 80 percent, weighed down by losses in its building division.
The country's largest construction firm posted a reported net profit of NZ$94 million ($67.98 million) for the year to June 30, down from NZ$462 million in the prior twelve-month period.
The result fell below analyst estimates of NZ$195 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Fletcher has missed the windfall from a nationwide building boom and has suffered costly delays at major projects, forcing it to twice slash its annual operating earnings forecasts and prompting former CEO Mark Adamson to step down in July.
The company announced a final dividend of NZ$0.19 per share, down from NZ$0.20 the previous year.
