My money would be on MEL wanting a merger but not getting the terms that they desired. Even if the discount is not too great MEL buying shares in BYE would not be the worst thing in the world, as the shares should appreciate over time. However, if all we are doing is passive investment we might as well have our cash back now and do it ourselves as individuals. I'd hoped for a COE style transformational investment by this point to be honest.
